Commonly Billed SCP Types – ILT

Demonstrated Skills:
- Instructor-led Training
- Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts
- Instructional Design Theories
- Storytelling
- PowerPoint Presentation
Opportunity:
As part of my team’s year-round training initiative, we were tasked with developing a few instructor-led courses in addition to our e-learning modules. Our goal was to create a more engaging experience than a traditional, fact-based presentation.
Solution:
I suggested incorporating storytelling into the presentation to make the material more engaging and relevant to real-world scenarios. We developed a set of personas who interacted with a counselor to explore and better understand the SCP process.
Process:
My team began by gathering and reviewing existing materials on the topic. Using that information, we developed learning objectives and outlined the training flow in Miro. We then collaborated with SMEs to refine the content and finalize the outline. After conducting a train-the-trainer session with facilitators and making further edits to the content and speaker notes, we scheduled and delivered the training to staff.
Outcome:
Feedback from participants indicated that the presentation made them feel more confident discussing the SCP process to members. According to post-training survey responses, learners found the session engaging and appreciated how the storytelling approach helped clarify key concepts. Many shared that the training not only reinforced their existing knowledge but also cleared up common misconceptions about the topic.
